With the passing of Bob Weir, I've really been diving into deep into the larger meaning of the Grateful Dead's legacy and what they meant to me. For my entire life, the Grateful Dead has been the constant pillar of community, musical exploration and a sense of tribal adventure that I could always turn to. Now that the book on the Grateful Dead is closed, I want to share with others what its meant to me and our culture.
As much as I'd love to talk about the music, these fireside chats are about psychedelics. So let's do that. The Dead's career long association with the psychedelic experience not only kept that exploration alive but was also the jumping off point for countless psychonauts, including myself. This talk will focus on why the Grateful Dead was such a profound psychedelic container, why their music was the perfect soundtrack for exploration and why the community made for such a strong support system.
Join Zach Leary online at 6 pm CT on Feb 13th for a dynamic discussion around all of this and more. There will be a talk with Q&A to follow.
The event is free. Just enter your email address for a link to the event on ZOOM.
